This is my model of Capote for women, inspired by the traditional Alentejano Capote, all in a combination of Pink and Brown.

The Alentejo cape has its origins in the costumes of shepherds from the Alto Alentejo. It is a long, sleeveless garment with an overcoat that falls to chest height and may have a collar, usually made of fox fur; in our case we use synthetic fur.
Ideal for cold days, this material is very warm and comfortable.

Made from Light Pink Burel with a herringbone effect, it is 100% wool.
Combined with floral cotton fabric lining for greater originality and comfort.
The collar is made of brown synthetic fur.
With side pockets and reinforced seams with two stitches.
The Cape has a lace application with brown and white tones at the end.
Buttons with brown buttons.

🔹 A NOTE ABOUT THE FABRIC USED TO MAKE THIS CAPOT - THE BUREL:

"In the heart of the mountain range lies the town of Manteigas, endowed with immense natural beauty, where at 2000 metres above sea level you can breathe the air of the highest point in mainland Portugal and where Burel comes from.

Burel is a Portuguese artisanal fabric, originally from the mountains, made entirely from wool.
After being carded and spun, the wool is transformed into roving. The roving is twisted in the spinning mill and transformed into yarn. This yarn passes through the warp to create the warp. The loom transforms the warp into spun yarn. The spun yarn passes through the batano and other processes and is finally transformed into burel.

Burel is a very resistant and versatile fabric that, from capes and coats for rainy, snowy and cold days in the mountains, has evolved into countless ideas and design solutions, accompanied by a vast range of textures, patterns and colors."

Burel Maintenance:
Burel is an easy-care fabric. The structure of the fiber repels dirt and, in the event of a spill, it can be cleaned and dried in due time. Taking carpets as an example, regular vacuuming is all that is needed to clean and keep a carpet looking new. It can be machine washed on the wool cycle, with the recommended temperature being 40°C. It is recommended to iron with steam on the wool cycle.
